Data Theorem Named a Cool Vendor in the Gartner 2020 “Cool Vendors in API Strategy” Report

Data Theorem, Inc., a leading provider of modern application security, today announced it has been recognized in the 2020 list of Cool Vendors in the “Cool Vendors in API Strategy”1 report published by Gartner.

Gartner Cool Vendor is designed to highlight interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services. The report states, “APIs have become such integral parts of mission-critical business systems, application architectures and customer-facing user experiences that an API platform is a very common part of a digital transformation…Such growth creates implementation challenges for application leaders responsible for API strategies, particularly in the areas of design, governance and security. Data Theorem’s API security solutions address security concerns such as Shadow APIs, Serverless Applications, and API Gateway cross-check validation by conducting continuous security assessments on API authentication, authorization, encryption, availability, cloud storage, databases, serverless functions, and policy compliance. The API security solutions support Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure to discover modern APIs and to enumerate the specification using standards such as Swagger and Open API 3.0.
